    Basic understanding of industry terminology

    Experience with access control systems

    Experience with alarm systems

    Experience with surveillance systems

    Knowledge of access control credential programming

    FULL JOB DESCRIPTION

    Quality Communications is currently seeking a driven and motivated individual to join our team as a full time Lead

    Access Control Technician.

    At Quality Communications we have dedicated ourselves to providing quality services and products to our customers before, during, and after the installation process. Our Lead Technicians play a key role in maintaining this goal, by leading projects, crews, record keeping, and more.

    LEAD TECHNICIAN ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Knowledge of Category 5e, 6, and 6A structured cabling, fiber optics, and audio/visual cabling parts and material
    • Knowledge and understanding of industry terminology
    • Diagnose, determine root issue and corrective action on low voltage systems
    • Installation of low voltage hardware to existing systems, including wire pulling and termination
    • Participate in the commissioning and completion of newly installed systems
    • Willingness and ability to problem solve
    • Enjoy working in an outdoor environment (we work in the heat, cold, snow, rain, and other types of inclement weather, year-round!)
    • Strong work ethic – we want hard-working and dedicated individuals on our team!
    • Ability to stand for long periods of time on a ladder, safely use an extension ladder, lift up to 60 lbs. at times, and crawl into small, dirty, and dark spaces (Example - attics or crawlspaces)
    • Ability to learn to interpret blueprints and other project documents, including but not limited to

    specifications, reporting and quality requirements.

    • Demonstrate organizational skills
    • Must be able to set expectations and communication between crew and managers
    • Clear and concise record keeping
    • Adhere to all required safety requirements
    • Comply with company weekly and daily paperwork requirements (timesheets, daily reports, etc.)
    • Flexible in scheduling and available to work nights and weekends if needed
    • Must demonstrate a positive and professional work environment with coworkers and customers
    • Must demonstrate accountability and reliability

    ADDITIONAL NOTES

    • Probationary period of 60 days
    • Applicant must be able to pass a drug and physical screening as well as background requirements
    • Applicant must be available to travel locally and out of state for various work site locations
