Responsible for planning and directing quality policies, programs, and initiatives. Additionally, Top Quality Management Executive - Healthcare requires a MD from an accredited school. Requires a valid state license to practice. Typically requires extensive clinical experience. Typically reports to a top management. The Top Quality Management Executive - Healthcare manages a business unit, division, or corporate function with major organizational impact. Establishes overall direction and strategic initiatives for the given major function or line of business.   • Norman Regional Health System and Oceans Healthcare have partnered to expand access to behavioral health services in south central Oklahoma through construction of a new, state-of-the-art behavioral hospital. Opening Summer 2024.

    Behavioral Health Center at Porter Health Village, a 48-bed facility, will more that double Norman Regional Health System’s inpatient capacity for adult and senior behavioral health patients and add new services, including an intensive outpatient program and a dedicated geriatric behavioral health unit. The freestanding hospital will be located on the Norman Regional Porter campus and replace the existing 20-bed behavioral health unit.

    Opening Spring / Summer 2024

    The Quality Director plans, develops, implements and manages comprehensive and effective systems to monitor and evaluate the quality and appropriateness of patient services and programs in support of the organizational mission and goals.  This position will work closely under the supervision of the Hospital Administrator, functions as a support person in the coordination and organization of administrative processes in a high quality efficient and cost-effective manner.  All duties to be done in accordance with Joint Commission, Federal and State regulations, Oceans’ Mission, policies and procedures and quality standards.

     

    Essential Functions:

    1. Works with Corporate Director of Quality implementing organization-wide quality programs at the hospital level.
    2. Facilitates the hospital Quality Assessment and Performance Improvement (QAPI) committee.
    3. Prepares an annual evaluation of the hospital QAPI plan, including process and outcomes.
    4. Oversees hospital-wide performance improvement (PI) projects identified through on-going data driven quality assessment.
    5. Coordinates the hospital’s data collection procedures and provides on-going support and education to staff regarding QAPI tools and reporting requirements; utilizes data and collaborates with leadership to set priorities and provide guidance in their development of quality improvement work plans.
    6. Serves as a resource to the medical staff, administrators and other staff including participation in root cause analyses, as indicated, to investigate potentially avoidable sentinel events.
    7. Completes assignments accurately, in a timely manner and within procedural guidelines.
    8. Coordinates education for QAPI principles and regulatory standards as indicated. Conducts training for staff.
    9. Participates in Joint Commission Accreditation process including plan of action tracking and completion.
    10. Performs other duties and projects as assigned by the facility administrator and corporate office.
