Top Regulatory Affairs Executive oversees all regulatory matters and creates the overall strategy to ensure the organization complies with applicable regulations. Develops processes and systems to ensure that all necessary licensing, filings, certifications, and permits are processed and monitored. Being a Top Regulatory Affairs Executive establishes monitoring policies and procedures to ensure compliance with existing regulations. Anticipates new or changing regulations and coordinates with internal stakeholders to develop strategies to address changes in product, operations, or testing requirements. Additionally, Top Regulatory Affairs Executive investigates and addresses any reported issues of non-compliance. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Top Regulatory Affairs Executive manages a business unit, division, or corporate function with major organizational impact. Establishes overall direction and strategic initiatives for the given major function or line of business. Job Description
(70%) Administer the enforcement of the franchise agreements
- Research, prepare and issue official notices of non-compliance, default and termination to franchisees due to contractual violations
- Ensure compliance with state franchise relationship laws affecting default and termination notification requirements
(20%) Administer other franchise agreement related matters
- Administer the outside investor application process for new business entities and ownership structures
- Prepare appropriate assignment and guaranty addenda to recognize new business entities and ownership structures
- Administer the designated representative application process
(10%) Assist with other legal matters and special projects:
- Support in-house attorneys and outside counsel by producing various documents and information pursuant to franchisee matters and litigation
- Work on other ad-hoc projects as they arise
- Review policies and procedures periodically to improve efficiencies
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- General experience and comfort with legal matters and documents
- Strong organizational skills and very detail-oriented
- Ability to work independently while balancing team and individual responsibilities
