We are excited to announce an open position for an
Office Assistant 3, Full-Time, Permanent! This position will serve as a frontline representative to internal and external stakeholders, and promote a positive image of the great care we provide our residents here at the
historic Washington Soldiers Home in Orting, Washington!
- Position(s) at this location will also receive 5% Premium Pay for 24/7 facilities. Employees must physically work at the facility 3 days per workweek to qualify. The 5% Premium Pay is in effect until June 29th, 2025.
- This position has been posted within the assigned pay range through Step L. Step M has not been published as this is considered the longevity step, in alignment with state HR compensation rules.
Please Note: This is a Full Time, Permanent position. Hours for this position will be 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, Sunday through Thursday.

Duties
Some of what you'll be doing includes:

Assist Nursing Department with clerical duties.
-
Manage Nursing Station during resident meals.
-
Print MARS, TARS, and NAC Kardex.
-
Complete IT work orders as needed.
-
Assist Nursing and NAC's with PCC as needed.
-
Update Nursing shift notes and schedules for resident's baths and vital signs daily.

Print and disperse Medication Admin audit report daily.
-
Missing POC documentation audit report daily.
-
Complete hospital transfer packets.
-
Notify staff via email of all changes in census beds.
-
Stock all copiers at the end of each shift.
-
Change toners and order backups as needed, assuring we maintain two available at all times.

Second backup to staffing coordinator, and Nursing payroll.

Qualifications
Required:
-
High School Diploma or GED.
-
Ability to work proficiently in Microsoft office.
-
Experience with multiple phones, copier, and fax machines.

Valid State Driver's License.
Desired:
-
Prior Medical Records/Health information experience.
-
Medical terminology experience.
-
HIPAA Legislation regulation knowledge.
