With a company that for 15 years has been serving as a High-Tech R&D complex multi-industry products manufacturer.
As a Senior Engineer you will work with, particle accelerator/pulsed power/surface solutions original-design products manufacturer servicing multiple industries globally, you will lead programs/product development as researcher and/or principal investigator for SBIR/STTR projects; develop, test, guide experimentation, analyze, present at technical conferences, & publish!
Responsibility Highlights
● Guide/manage applied engineering team from early R&D through prototyping
● Develop laboratory, prototype design, production research strategies
● Customer/supplier/development partner technical reporting/resource allocation
● Customers/users requirement development improving desired outcomes
● Investigator for SBIR/STTR projects & IRAD programs
REQUIREMENTS:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or Plasma Engineering or Material Science
- Bachelor’s or Masters Degree with 5 years or more industrial experience
- PhD with 3 years or more industrial experience, after graduation
- With prototyping & production facility work backgrounds in one of these:
- Thin-Film Material Deposition/Etch & Micro/Nanomaterials Analysis
- Plasma Sources/Ion Beams/ RF Accelerators
- High-Voltage Electronics/Switched-Mode Power Supply Design
OTHER EXPERIENCE AND NICE TO HAVES:
● DC/DC & AC/DC at kV levels, IGBT techniques, PWM control/power modeling
● PCB design, layout/BOM (Altium/KiCAD)
● LDMOS/high-voltage GaN RF/LCR design/LT SPICE
● Radiofrequency Particle Accelerator or Quadrupole (RFQ) experience
● RF/microwave circuit/cavity/antenna design or 3D electro simulation (Sonnet, COMSOL, CST Microwave Studio, Ansys HFSS)
● High power tube amplifiers; pulsed RF/microwave circuits
● Mechanical design/SolidWorks
● CNC mill, PCB fab, machine shop
● MCAD/ECAD
● UL, CAS, SEMI, IEC or CE design/test
