    Purpose of the Position
    Responsible for the strategic direction of approved secondary markets outside of Broadway’s primary metropolitan markets of San Antonio, Austin, and Dallas. Responsible for growing top line revenue in approved Community Markets through the management of Market Executives that will originate new business in all of Broadway’s established commercial and private banking products. Direct reports will include Community Market Executives, who will engage in appropriate business development by design in approved Community markets.
    Aligns closely with Private Bank, Wealth Management, Sales and Service and MarCom Executives to develop and maintain a sales focus for growth in high potential community geographies with a focus on maximizing profitability.
    Engage with direct reports daily to assist at a high level with the growth of new profitable relationships, deepening of existing client relationships and increase the overall profile, brand and visibility of Broadway Bank in the high potential community markets. Responsible for helping evaluate and negotiate and new credits to maximize earnings for the bank. Uphold the bank’s Strategic Plan to focus on evolution into a modern, innovative and digitally capable institution.
    Ensures that all solutions proposed to clients satisfy their short-term and long-term needs. Direct reports and their teams will engage in appropriate business development tactics through Business Development by Design & CRM and use scorecards to drive activities and production to grow new profitable relationships, deepen current relationships, and strengthen teamwork within Broadway Bank.
    Represent the bank in the established communities, increase the overall awareness of Broadway Bank and project a positive image for the bank as a stable, sound, profitable, innovative and modern financial institution. Conscious of bringing top tier clientele with high margins and profit potential into the bank. Coach direct reports with the intent of creating a seamless succession plan.

    Key Accountabilities

    Responsible for the development of community markets, as defined by bank leadership.Duties include the evaluation of growth opportunities in both new and existing Broadway community markets, identification, and recruitment of in market talent including Market Executives, and execution of community market growth strategies related to Broadway’s various lines of business.
    Creates accountability with each direct report to ensure appropriate goals, objectives and scorecards are set to accomplish the annual and strategic goals of each community market.
    Originate full relationships across all LOB product lines.
    Initiates and cultivates new loan and deposit relationships for the bank through active marketing efforts including calls, visits, and community involvement.Refers prospects to appropriate internal and external business resources.
    Demonstrates strong solution-oriented sales and communications skills and effectively establishes rapport and credibility with clients.
    Analyzes and provides recommendations on commercial loans by:
    Interviewing applicants to develop financial and credit information, define banking needs, assess management abilities, analyze financial strength, and determine the risk associated with the request.
    Insuring the complete analysis of all financial, industry, and management information.
    Evaluating and structuring credit terms in accordance with lending policies.
    Preparing, presenting, and recommending loan requests to the appropriate loan committees for approval.
    Insuring proper loan documentation is prepared and reviewed.
    Has a broad knowledge of financial services and products with a customer-centric vision.
    Follows all lending policies, procedures, and applicable laws.
    Building loyalty and driving profitable revenue growth by developing and executing targeted client retention and expansion activities (develop and secure new business from existing portfolio base); engaging in new customer acquisition activities and cultivates new high-value relationships.
    Coaches and mentors’ direct reports to ensure continued development and opportunities for growth and achievement. Reviews and approves personnel recommendations regarding employment, performance ratings, salary changes, promotions, transfers, and terminations.
    In conjunction with Chief Credit Officer and Chief Commercial Banking Officer participates in the analysis and decisions related to more complex or larger credit relationships.
    Creates and leads the business development culture for all community markets across all commercial products and participates in client and prospect calls when needed.
    Seeks out active membership in the right, high profile, community organizations and pursues public relations opportunities in to create awareness.
    Responsible for Region specific products and pricing to maintain competitive positioning in each community market.
    Promotes accountability with Community Market Executives to ensure appropriate scorecard goals and objectives are set to accomplish the annual budget and strategic goals of Broadway Bank.
    Collaborates with Sales and Service and Wealth Management Divisions on activities, events, products, pricing, and promotions within each community.
    Maintains a solid understanding of the analysis and decisions related to more complex or larger credit relationships.
    Participates in the collection effort of Commercial, CRE and/or Business Banking loans to reduce the Bank's losses.
    Leverages the assigned Donation budget for appropriate community charities and organizations in order to reinforce the culture of community involvement, including CRA events and opportunities. Works closely with Bank CRA Director to ensure Bank meets CRA goals set for each community.
    Responsible for the annual budget for the approved community markets through coordination with other partners.
    Works with MarCom to develop a modern and innovative marketing strategy for each approved community market, including brand awareness, product campaigns and promotions, public relations, media relations and event management.
    Promotes an environment focused on efficiency and continuous process improvement.
    Promotes an environment of teamwork and partnership throughout the bank.
    Actively participates in Senior Officers Loan Committee, ALLL, Strategic Planning, ALCO, and other committee or task force assignments as they develop.
    Ensures safety & soundness of bank's assets through oversight of the day-to-day activities and accountabilities and active participation and due diligence of Senior Officer’s Loan Committee.
    Keeps current on local and regional developments and major economic issues, and follows local, state, and federal legislation and regulatory issues and changes relating to banking.


    Work Experience Requirements



    Required: 10 years senior level bank management in a commercial banking position. A relationship banking philosophy versus a transaction philosophy.
    Preferred: Working experience with Commercial Banking, Commercial Real Estate Banking, Private Banking, and Wealth Management. Strong skills and experience in Business Development and Relationship Management
    Supervisory Experience: Management responsibility at the division level or experience in managing lines of business.

    Education Requirements
    4-year college degree from an accredited University with emphasis in Business, Finance and/or Accounting.
    Preferred:Master’s degree in related field and/or advanced financial services related schooling

    Other Qualifications
    Strong proficiency with technology, including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint and CRM Platforms.
