Summary:
This position captures, measures, and reports physical and financial trading activity on a daily basis to Management in order to assess financial risk and commodity price exposure. Performs financial analysis for Trading and Marketing organizations across commodities. Ensures compliance with external regulations (CFTC, FERC, etc.), as well as internal trading policies
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Confirm trades with external counterparties
Conduct end-of-month settlements and issue invoices
Team with accounting during period end to explain P&L results including payables, receivables, and cash flows
Reconcile trades to our FCM clearing broker statements on a daily basis
Perform a daily mark-to-market of off-exchange derivatives
Support in reporting daily profit and loss report
Support in managing forward positions
Support in reporting Dodd-Frank trades to SDR
Understand deal flow from time of execution to settlement
Perform ad hoc analysis in a timely manner
Requirements:
Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or related degree or equivalent work experience
2-5 years experience in a related industry is required.
Strong model and excel experience is essential.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word is required.

Usually, normal office working conditions.
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
Occasional overnight travel may be required.
Occasional visits to industrial/manufacturing settings, which may include exposure to various materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment.
