Social Services Assistant Responsibilities

As a Social Services Assistant, you are responsible for assisting the Social Service Coordinator and Social Workers in providing medically related social services so that each resident/resident may attain or maintain the highest practicable level of physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being. The Social Services Assistant promotes a climate, policies and routines that enable residents to maximize their individuality, independence, and dignity.

Social Services Assistant Requirements

• Social Service Certificate, 36-Hour Social Service Designee Certificate, preferred.
• One year of supervised social service experience in a healthcare setting working directly with geriatric individuals.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility preferred.
