Job Description:
JOB SUMMARY:
Ormco is looking for a dynamic Director, Software Development to join the Spark RD&T team who will be responsible for leading the development of software systems for the manufacturing of orthodontic appliances. You will lead the development of SPARK manufacturing software that will allow SPARK Aligners to add more advance clinical features, at the same time innovate and integrated with the latest manufacturing technology. This is a highly visible role, requiring an experienced leader with strong technical skills across C (or equivalent), complex algorithm development. The leader needs to be capable of taking informed decision to benefit for the business and effectively communicating that with all levels of the company (leadership team or technicians on the manufacturing floor).
You will lead the team through creating the roadmap, managing the backlog, defining the functional relation and interfaces between the SPARK front-end Software Development and manufacturing software and various subsystems. As a Director, you will be responsible for leading the team through all the steps involved in the software development cycle. We are looking for a leader who is a great communicator and a collaborator, who drives the professional manufacturing software team by setting examples. This person will have demonstrated success in leading large complex software development and brings clarity to the group.
