As a Competitive Intelligence Manager, you will:

• Analyze competitive needs, surveying the market and Competitive Intelligence users to define competitors to cover, resources to provide, and competitive strategies to implement

• Conduct primary and secondary research on competitors’ technology, positioning, sales tactics, pricing, strengths, and weaknesses, as well as performing technical comparisons

• Analyze and synthesize information to turn it into actionable intelligence, clearly articulating the major facts and how to act on them, as well as defining the strategy to defeat the competition

• Develop and maintain actionable competitive messaging, collaterals, and Sales strategy

• Distribute, promote, present, and train stakeholders on competitive insight, tools, and collaterals

• Help Sales teams differentiate Veeam in highly competitive opportunities

• Support Marketing, Pricing, and Product teams with competitive analyses

• Support Executives’ decision-making with relevant competitive intelligence and alert Executives of competitive opportunities and threats

• 3 years in the data protection industry (strong understanding of market trends, vendors, or technologies)

• 3 years of experience in Competitive Intelligence, Technical Sales, Product Development, or Product Strategy

• Demonstrated technical expertise and hands-on experience with data protection software and related technologies (i.e. virtualization, storage, container, cloud) and ability to learn new technologies quickly

• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills for both technical and non-technical audiences in English (proven ability to autonomously write Sales, partner, and customer-facing documents)

• Strategic thinking, strong research methodology, ethicality, analytical mindset, information synthesis skills, and ability to team up cross-functionally

• Bachelor’s degree in Competitive Intelligence, Marketing, software engineering, or Product Management
