Role: Software Development Manager
Description:
We are looking for a technical leader, who can handle a variety of leadership responsibilities in a small-to-medium sized business. You will help create the generation of our software and lead a team of talented engineers. This role will manage both on shore and off shore resources, make high level technical decisions, help drive best practices of the full software development life cycle, and lead a cloud modernization to Azure. Our current applications are primarily using a .NET stack for custom application development and SQL on-premise including legacy tools such as SSRS (some Power BI), SSIS, and SSAS. This hire, will play a key role in both the architecture and implementation of software modernization.
Job Duties/Skills:

• Experience leading offshore and onshore resources
• Strong experience in Migrating on-prem data sources to Azure cloud hosted.
• Majority of the work is still in a legacy tech stack including SQL 2014, SSIS, SSRS (Some Power BI), T-SQL, and an offshore team handling .NET Development.
• Ability to help organization transition to next generation of Data utilizing a variety of Azure services based on what best for our organization. Some examples could be...
  • Azure DevOps, Azure Service Fabric, Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL
• This leader needs to be excited to learn new technologies and able to deal with fast changing priorities
• Strong leadership skills to manage additional software engineers and guide technical direction.
• This role will where many hats and would ideally take on some project management details when necessary.
