Additionally, Top Strategic Planning Executive requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Top Strategic Planning Executive manages a business unit, division, or corporate function with major organizational impact. Establishes overall direction and strategic initiatives for the given major function or line of business.     Position Summary:

    The Governor’s Office of Strategic Planning and Budgeting (OSPB) is looking for a highly motivated, self-starter with excellent facilitation, communication, and organizational skills to fill the role of Strategic Planning Analyst.

    The Strategic Planning Analyst will work closely with state agency and Governor’s office staff to implement a person-centered, collective-impact approach to strategic planning designed to accelerate progress and make a significant impact on the issues facing Arizona.

    Major Duties and Responsibilities:

    The Strategic Planning Analyst will report to the Statewide Strategic Planner and be responsible for:

    • Attend strategic planning prep-sessions, as needed, providing notes and/or follow-up actions to Statewide Strategic Planner Facilitate and/or support agency strategic planners in completing components of the strategic plan when assigned
    • Attend and support the Strategic Planning Community of Practice (SP COP). Note: SP COP brings strategic planners from across the state together for professional development, resource sharing, and problem-solving
    • Serve as a resource to agencies on the strategic planning process, providing clarification on deliverables and Governor’s office expectations
    • In collaboration with the Statewide Strategic Planner, provide ongoing communication on key strategic planning updates
    • Verify and manage deliverable submissions and providing periodic reports and communication on agency status

    Job Skills and Qualifications:

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to foster trust and respect, including creating friendly and collaborative working relationships with internal and external colleagues and stakeholders
    • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects at once in a high-stakes and fast-paced environment
    • Ability to proactively communicate with manager on issues pertaining to work deliverables and individual capacity
    • Ability to work effectively with people from diverse cultures and backgrounds
    • Excellent discretion and judgment, and ability to maintain confidentiality

    Selective Preference(s):

    • Experience in State government or representing executive agencies is a plus
    • Knowledge and/or and experience with of the aspects of “collective-impact”

    Pre-Employment Requirements:

    • Minimum of an Associate’s degree and 4 years of relevant experience or Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of relevant experience in goal setting, process improvement, data management, and/or facilitation
    • Strong commitment to the mission and priorities of the Administration
