    Position: Director of Supply Chain Management

    Location: Onsite in Westlake, OH 44145

    Summary and Opportunity Overview:

    The Director of Supply Chain Management is a member of the Company’s Executive Team. This individual is responsible for the development and execution of all strategic aspects of the Company’s front end supply chain and demand management. This includes demand planning and forecasting, sourcing and procurement, vendor relationship management, inbound logistics, and inventory control. The Director of Supply Chain Management will develop and mentor a team of buyers and planners. As the leader of the Procurement team, the individual is responsible for setting the supply chain optimization vision for the Company. In collaboration with key internal stakeholders, this individual will continue to develop planning processes to achieve customer, operational, sales, production, and financial targets.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Work closely and effectively with internal/external sales teams, operations, and suppliers to develop detailed weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual demand plans/forecasts, and to ensure optimal inventory levels, raw material availability, cost efficiency, and manufacturing asset utilization to support customer demand, customer satisfaction, and profitability goals.
    • Maintain historical customer sales and inventory tools.
    • Enhance comprehensive front-end supply chain and demand management plans and processes with input from sales, IT, and other departments.
    • “Set the tone from the top” by communicating Company expectations and building team support for Company initiatives.
    • Provide leadership, direction and set clear expectations for the procurement team to provide world-class customer service by exceeding customer expectations and maintaining healthy vendor relations.
    • Develop and administer procurement team training programs that enable team members to achieve their potential and support Company supply chain objectives.
    • Communicates critical information to internal and external stakeholders.
    • Continue to enhance vendor performance KPI’s, dashboards and Vendor Performance Scorecards (VPS) to insure vendor quality and on time delivery expectations in accordance with the Company’s internal quality policies and ISO standards.
    • Review aforementioned metrics, performance, and expectations with vendors regularly.
    • Bolster relationships with existing and potential suppliers using effective, consistent communications including in-person meetings, and offsite visits.
    • Identify and curate new, cost-efficient sourcing alternatives and sourcing improvement programs.
    • Maintain, monitor and control optimal inventory levels; Report findings to stakeholders.
    • Assist in development of annual demand planning, negotiation and finalization of annual metals manufacturer procurement contracts.
    • Coordinate aspects of supply chain risk management, inbound logistics, and inventory control and optimization.
    • Develop centralized digital contract, purchase orders, quotes and Vendor Relationship Management (VRM) programs and solutions.
    • Monitor industry, customer, vendor and competitor activity and provide feedback to the Management Team and other departments to ensure supply chain optimization and economics.
    • Travel for industry-related trade shows and events.
    • Perform other job related duties as assigned.

    Required Education, Experience, Certification, Licenses, Registration:

    • Bachelor’s degree in business. MBA or supply chain specific degree is a plus, but is not required.
    • Must have at least seven years of leadership experience in supply chain and purchasing within the metals industry.
    • At least five years of additional experience in planning, purchasing, or procurement in the metals industry.
    • Experience with Axiom ERP is a plus.

    • The ability to work calmly under pressure.
    • Ability to travel when necessary.

    Job Type: Full-time

    Pay: $130,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
