  • Responsible for the receipt, storage and distribution of all materials delivered to the Supply Chain Management Department by the various vendors. Responsible for the PAR level systems in the warehouse and throughout the facility.


    FLSA:

    NON-EXEMPT


    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Receives all materials delivered to the facility by various vendors.


    Checks all documents for accuracy prior to the processing of packing slips, etc.


    Receives and fills all manual and automated supply requisitions from departments


    Restocks utilizing proper rotation, organization, identification, documentation and proper location of stock items.


    Distributes supplies and materials to various locations in the warehouse and facility in an efficient manner.


    Delivers supplies to the user departments in an efficient and timely manner.


    Follows all safety procedures; packs, loads, and unloads delivery vehicle appropriately.


    Records appropirate daily information regarding vehicle travel and mileage. Reports any vehicle problems to the Manager of Supply Chain Operations.


    Maintains a safe driving record.


    Cycle counts assigned areas monthly.


    Checks for outdated supplies monthly.


    Ensures the receiving party signs for the delivery of items.


    Makes corrections, deletions and adjustments to quantities of materials stocked in relation to the PAR level replenishment systems throughout the facility.


    Properly handles sterile items to maintain sterility.


    Interfaces directly with staff members at the user departments to determine need of additions or deletions in relation to the par level systems and forwards information to the Systems Analysist.


    Maintains designated areas of materials storage in a neat and organized manner.


    Forwards information pertaining to mis-stocked items, outages, overstock, etc… to the Manager of Supply Chain Operations.


    Notifies the Manager of Supply Chain Operations when supplies or special orders are needed.


    Follows delivery assignments for various departments to ensure that the proper quantity of materials is delivered at the proper time.


    Maintains all equipment utilized in transporting materials in a manner that ensures reliable and safe operation


    Ensures positive control of intravenous solutions and distributes needles, razor blades and the like.


    Performs any duties as assigned by the Manager of Supply Chain Operations.


    Demonstrates knowledge of the overall function of the Supply Chain Management Department.


    Demonstrates the ability to deal with pressure to meet deadlines, to be accurate, and to handle constantly changing situations.


    Demonstrates the ability to deal with a variety of people, deal with stressful situations, and handle conflict.


    Requires minimal supervision in performance of job duties.


    Completes duties in a time efficient manner.


    Understands how to prioritize responsibilities to ensure completion of duties.


    Helps to complete tasks in the materials function that are not within job description. Renders self available when responsibilities have been met to assist in areas that may require assistance within the materials function.


    Accesses the Medication Rooms on Nursing units to perform daily duties, understands handling of medications is not part of job functions with the exception of items procured and stocked through Supply Chain Management.


    Professional Requirements:


    Adheres to dress code.


    Completes annual educational requirements.


    Meets and Maintains federal, state, and local regulatory requirements and standards.


    Wears identification while on duty.


    Maintains confidentiality at all times.


    Attends department staff meetings as required within the department.


    Reports to work on time and as scheduled; completes work in designated time.


    Represents the organization in a positive and professional manner.


    Communicates and complies with the Benefis Health System Mission, Vision and.


    Complies with Benefis Health System Organization Policies and Procedures.


    Complies with Health and Safety Standards and Guidelines.


    Qualifications

    Education/Experience Requirements:

    High School graduate or equivalent.

    Current driver’s license required

    CMRP certification preferred
