Project Management Specialist - Supply Chain Digitalization

  • PURPOSE:
    Under general supervision, this position is the Digitalization lead on specialist level within SC, providing support for the delivery of the projects within scope, in time, budget and quality. They own and manage the full project life cycle from requirement definition, planning, implementation to successful delivery.They support internal customers in the implementation or enhancement of solutions for business processes and serve as plant liaison for Centers of Competence for OEM applications used at our location.RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • General oversite of the projects; remove roadblocks and support teams on making needed decisions.
    • Maintain a clear understanding of OEM Strategy
    • Oversees Digitalization projects, supports Strategy efforts and provides guidance to cross functional teams.
    • Establishes clear guardrails for projects (i.g.: scope, cybersecurity, stability).
    • Supports Teams on establishing prioritization based on most value to the organization.
    • Supports the Teams on getting resources (funding and people).
    • Provides Support for Digi Leads on technical questions, Digi Method, roadblock removal.
    • Ensures All Ideas and Projects are Properly documented for Transparency in all Reporting.
    • Serves as scrum master for multiple teams.
    • Integrates Agile & Lean principles into team practices and work products.
    • Supports the team to determine the Definition of Done (DoD) for the product with input from key stakeholders.
    • Coaches the team in Scrum principles to deliver high-quality features for the product.
    • Helps the Scrum Team to avoid or remove internal or external obstacles.
    • Coaches and guides development teams in self-organization and cross-functionality to fully realize the potential of Agile/Scrum frameworks.
    • Supports the team to meet stakeholder expectations by facilitating daily scrum, sprint planning, sprint demo and retrospective meetings.
    • Creates understanding and empathy around user needs for the entire product team.
    • Understands and incorporates complex technical and business requirements into interaction concepts.
    • Develops detailed test plans that represent all relevant use cases, edge cases and negative test cases.
    • Conducts research on multiple aspects of products and experiences utilizing a range of methodologies (e.g. ethnography, surveys, context interviews, field visits, usability testing, benchmarking).
    • Concept & Design.
    • Develops design concepts and explains visual choices to stakeholders, expresses concepts verbally and visually.
    • Develops conceptual diagrams, wireframes, visual mock-ups, click-dummies, and interactive prototypes General.
    • Influences the company’s strategy by product/design recommendations and identifies use cases, needs and pain points of potential customers and users.
    • Works closely with developers, product management, and design team to ensure a great user experience and implementation according to the user centered design process.

    • Support and consulting of development teams and management in all questions concerning design and creative processes.
    • Development of new products and services using Design Thinking methods.
    • Project management of various parallel projects, workshops, and trainings.
    • Strategic anchoring of design-oriented development methods and further development of innovation methods.
    • Building and maintain a community of design-interested people in the Group.
    • Conception and moderation of workshops.
    • Enabling and supporting DT Junior Coaches.
    • Communication from and about Design Thinking.
    • Plan, execute, and finalize projects according to strict deadlines and within budget.
    • Acquire resources and coordinate the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan.
    • Define the project’s objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle.
    • Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents.
    • Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel.
    • Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team.
    • Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.
    • Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.
    • Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify and mitigate potential risks/crises, and devise contingency plans.

    QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer engineering, supply chain operations, industrial engineering or related.
    • 5 years of experience in Manufacturing and must be familiar with launching products.
    • Automotive experience preferred.

    FLSA STATUS/WORKING SCHEDULE:
    • Location: Vance, AL
    • Schedule: Monday – 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
    • Type: Full time
    • Start Date: April 1st
    • Assignment: 6-month contract with potential to extend.
