Supply Chain Manager
We are searching for an experienced Supply Chain Manager at our Wilmington, NC facility.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Plans and manages the preparation and implementation of short and long-range inventory plans for raw materials, work in progress, and finished goods to minimize material costs and meet delivery requirements of the customer(s).

Manages cycle counting to ensure a level of accuracy is maintained that meets our business and auditor’s needs.

Oversees the preparation and implementation of short- and long-term production plans, inventory levels and schedules that will allow the Company to meet customer requirements properly while maintaining material inventory at lowest possible levels.

Liaises directly with customer materials’ departments to maintain a thorough understanding of current and future product needs.

Ensures that the most efficient and cost-effective transportation of our goods and materials is used.

Maintains a high degree of integrity and fairness in dealings and transactions with all elements of the manufacturing cycle and regularly monitors that activity to ensure its consistency.

Establishes and recommends budgets for assigned functions and implements the necessary controls to keep expenditures within budget limits.

Performs miscellaneous related duties and carries out special projects as assigned.

Evaluates and initiates changes in receiving procedures, crib layouts, material handling equipment, and security of inventory. - - - Accountable for the receiving, storage, delivery and shipping of material.

Interfaces with other plant departments as required maintaining inventory accuracy and optimizing material flow. Works with productions planners and material planners with Kanban systems, consignment programs and cycle counts.

Remove material flow constraints through long-term sustainable corrective actions and solutions.

Tracks inventory trends and reports to management on root cause analysis and problem-solving strategies. A primary objective is to ensure effective systems are in place to maximize material flow and minimize expense to the Company.

Handles major projects independently, exercising discretion and judgement in all tasks.

Writes and maintains departmental work instructions and maintains departmental training.

Provides direction and leadership of purchasing process including day-to-day directions to tactical purchasing decisions and requirements to improve material flow and supplier management skills.
Required Qualifications:

Must display a high level of maturity and sound judgement.

Must communicate effectively, orally and written.
Be familiar with current and evolving material and management systems. -
Must interface easily with customers and other plants and be capable of balancing risks and success factors so as to satisfy customer needs at the lowest cost.

Must have thorough knowledge of Production Planning and Production Control systems and procedures.
Required Experience:
-
Minimum of 5 years’ Supply Chain Management experience required

Leadership experience preferred.
Required Education:

Bachelor’s degree required in business, supply chain, engineering, mathematics, or statistics
