Responsible for purchasing, negotiating and ensuring supply for production for day-to-day materials, packaging supplies, as well as parts and equipment. Negotiate favorable terms for equipment purchases.

Purchasing Summer Garden Food Manufacturing:

• Manage, maintain and reorder packaging categories such as Cartons, Labels, Glass and as assigned by Manager
• Creating purchase orders in conjunction with Maintenance & Purchasing dept for equipment and parts as needed
• Track outstanding purchase orders, re-date and follow up as needed.
• Ensure consistent supply for production while balancing appropriate inventory levels
• Lead sourcing efforts on assigned categories

Manage Fixed Assets in conjunction with Accounting & Maintenance/Engineering

• Process and code PCard receipts for Maintenance to Accounts Payable
• PaperSave invoice coding (Freight/Duty)
• Tracking invoices validate and approve for payment.
• Working and maintaining Managers Plus with accurate record keeping

Corporate Purchasing:

• Manage company-wide purchases of supplies and equipment (PPE, company branded apparel, uniforms etc.)
• Lead the sourcing of these categories and negotiate price, MOQ and quality. Coordinate with all department heads.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or Business preferred
• 5 years' experience working in procurement field in manufacturing. Food related a plus / preferred.
• Above average proficiency in Microsoft Office software including Excel spreadsheets, Pivots and Outlook necessary.
• Experience working in Microsoft Great Plains software preferred
• Excellent communication skills both written & verbal with the ability to negotiate and build relationships with suppliers
• Strong reading, logical and mathematical skills
• Ability to utilize information to draw insights and conclusions and make tactical business decisions is essential
• Flexibility with work assignments and hours
