Florida Defensive Training is seeking a qualified Combative Instructor with a comprehensive background in self-defense training, including defensive tactics, firearms proficiency, and more. The ideal candidate will possess strong instructional skills, practical experience in combat scenarios, and a commitment to empowering individuals with the knowledge and skills necessary to defend themselves effectively.
Responsibilities:
1. Conducting combative training sessions in accordance with Florida Defensive Training curriculum and guidelines.
2. Instructing students in various aspects of self-defense, including hand-to-hand combat techniques, defensive tactics, and situational awareness.
3. Providing comprehensive firearms training, including firearm safety, marksmanship, and defensive shooting techniques.
4. Developing and implementing training programs tailored to the needs and skill levels of diverse student groups.
5. Evaluating student performance and providing constructive feedback to support skill development and proficiency.
6. Maintaining a safe training environment at all times, adhering to safety protocols and procedures.
7. Staying updated on current trends, techniques, and regulations in self-defense and firearms training.
8. Assisting in the development of training materials, including manuals, videos, and instructional resources.
9. Collaborating with other instructors and staff members to enhance the overall training experience for students.
10. Providing exceptional customer service and support to students, addressing inquiries and concerns professionally and promptly.
Qualifications:
1. Previous experience as a combative instructor or similar role, preferably in the military, law enforcement.
2. Extensive knowledge of self-defense techniques, defensive tactics, and firearms proficiency.
3. Certification in relevant disciplines such as Krav Maga, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, defensive firearms, etc.
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively instruct and motivate students of all skill levels.
5. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
6. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate student schedules and training sessions.
7. Clean criminal record and ability to pass a background check.
