    The impact you will have in this role:

    Being a member of the Platform Engineering team the Executive Director (ED) Platform Engineering will lead a team of highly talented Network Engineers with responsibility for assessing high availability and the monitoring tools required for modernizing DTCC's Global Network. The ED will ensure alignment with industry standard methodologies, identify gaps and dependencies. Additionally, they will lead the initiative to map all critical Network touchpoints for Campus and Datacenter Infrastructures, propose solutions and work with IT Engineering and Architecture to plan and lead implementation of appropriate tools, system architectures and highly resilient technology strategies. A partner with Business Leaders, helping to define and deliver appropriate solutions achieving the highest levels of availability. The ideal candidate is a networking and systems communications authority, possessing a broad understanding of modern application stacks and architectures, with strong leadership and collaboration skills, and tried expertise in delivering large scale enterprise technology implementations. The successful candidate must have a combination of excellent leadership/management, technology, analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

    Your Primary Responsibilities:
    • Strategic problem solver with the ability to formulate compelling vision and strategy and translate that to concrete roadmaps and results.
    • A leader who can establish a center of engineering excellence and work to make the engineers around them stronger.
    • Risk Manager: establishing and/or maintaining a risk balanced culture within network engineering that is passionate about the availability, stability, and security of the network.
    • Delivery Manager: establishing and/or maintaining consistent, efficient, and effective processes and procedures that ensure predictable delivery of networking solutions.
    • Proven critical thinking skills, ability to accurately analyze information and make data-driven decisions.
    • Ensure accurate disciplines and controls within the IT environment, as evidenced by strong audits and exams.
    • Serve as a "Change Agent" who brings a sense of urgency and can mobilize resources and implement initiatives on time.
    • Understand how technology works, bring a passion for technology, know the questions to ask, and be able dig into the details.
    • Develop a strong partnership with business line leaders, IT members, and the operations team. Understand the business/process making sure the technology delivery is flawless.
    • Communicate technical issues to a non-tech audience and to be an effective bridge from business to technology.
    • Effectively plan and supervise multiple large and/or sophisticated projects and communicate status to management and project teams. Identify problem areas and alternative solutions.
    • Experience with leading an IT environment, data, applications, and projects at the enterprise level (i.e. experience with balancing the different factors and challenging demands of a multi-faceted, sophisticated IT environment).
    • Shown ability to lead and maintain a very strong control environment.
    • Demonstrated track record of applying technology to tackle business problems.
    • Combination of excellent leadership/management, technology, analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
    • Solve and assess the current state and proposed states of the network while simultaneously identifying gaps and opportunities based on the industry best practices to gain consensus and influence executives.
    • Fosters a risk management culture through implementation and demonstration of processes and procedures which identify and mitigate risk.

    Qualifications:
    • Minimum of 15 years of related experience
    • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
      Talents Needed for Success:
    • A passion for redefining how organizations deliver technology more effectively to the business.
    • Understanding and /or working Knowledge of VBlock, Nutanix, CaaS, IaaS, network as service, storage solutions and mainframe.
    • Experience in modernization of legacy environments.
    • Experience with cloud technology value proposition, principles, and services including infrastructure, business applications, data management, security, and application platforms.
    • Experience with the planning, design and the implementation of platform enhancements and new capabilities both on Mainframe and Open Systems.
    • Experience with running an IT environment, data, applications, and projects at the enterprise level (i.e., experience with balancing the different factors and challenging demands of a multi-faceted, sophisticated IT environment).
    • Shown experience in developing and delivering progressive strategies. Experience building and delivering solutions with world-class security and reliability, and resiliency.
    • Experience in influencing senior leadership, business and technical collaborators, and peer groups, while driving enterprise-scale portfolios or programs in large organizations.
    • Experience with leading an IT environment, data, applications, and projects at the enterprise level (i.e. experience with balancing the different factors and opposing demands of a dynamic, sophisticated IT environment).
    • Experience building excellent processes and workflows that adapt to scale.
    • Prior Financial Services experience is highly preferred. Alternatively, must have prior experience for working in a regulated environment and managing / partnering with industry regulators and experience leading and maintaining a very strong control environment.
