Locust Point sources capital and provides debt and preferred equity financing to the lower middle market seniors housing and care industry. Locust Point’s approach to financing combines flexible capital, an experienced team, and a partnership-oriented approach. The candidate will be an important member of the firm’s underwriting team with a focus on underwriting, financial modeling, legal documentation, client communication, and due diligence.
The Underwriting Analyst will support the investment closing and underwriting process, including building financial models, creating investment memoranda, structuring term sheet proposals, reviewing and following up on due diligence requests, and assisting with originations and sizing.
The ideal candidate will be a high-integrity, self-driven, resourceful individual with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or a related field
- 1-3 years of experience in underwriting and closing real estate transactions, preferably in the healthcare space
- High proficiency of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Self-starter with the ability to work in a small team environment, excellent attention to detail, and highly motivated to take on increasing levels of responsibility
