Additionally, Top Underwriting Executive requires a bachelor's degree. May require certification as a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) or Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU). Education Specialist (Learning and Development)

  • Job Summary:

    PLUS is a growing international association advancing the interest of individuals / professionals in the professional liability insurance industry. To ensure PLUS is strategically serving its membership and professional liability industry, the Education Specialist will coordinate the development, scheduling, and hosting of Subject Matter Expert-led content in a variety of delivery methods, including webinars, podcasts, and national PLUS university programs. The Education Specialist will support the PLUS certificates and designations programs and other educational projects as needed. This is a full-time, 40 hours/week, exempt position.

    Virtual University Programs and Webinar Coordination and Delivery

    • Responsible for speaker communication and support, material collection, and running live virtual events - this includes international webinars which may require working outside typical business hours 4-6 times per year
    • Manages the Zoom platform and provides technical support to speakers and attendees.
    • Communicates with Marketing and Operation teams to ensure promotions are scheduled and online registration is made available
    • Works with CE Coordinator to obtain CE/CLE credits for virtual offerings and process attendee credits

    Certificates and Designation Program Support

    • Supports certificate and designation programs, including processing registrations and paperwork for designees, candidate certificates, tracking/processing grades, continuing education credits, and invoicing
    • Liaison for members taking proctored exams through testing vendor and works with vendor to resolve user issues, reporting needs, etc.
    • Responsible for guiding candidates through certificate and designation programs and supporting designees through the self-reporting professional development requirements
    • Assists with the CPLP and ExecPLP Committees to coordinate self-reporting eligible webinars
    • Assists with designation recognition at national events

    Blog and Podcast Coordination and Delivery

    • Coordinates and hosts podcast recording sessions as assigned
    • Responsible for editing podcast recording transcripts and audio files
    • Assists with the tracking, scheduling, and publishing of Blog post submissions

    PLUS University Program Support

    • Responsible for speaker communication, support, and material collection
    • Works with CE Coordinator to obtain CE/CLE credits for the program and assists with processing attendee credits
    • Assists program manager with operational, administrative, and on-site needs

    Volunteer Management

    • Works and supports volunteer subject matter experts (SMEs)
    • May support additional content committees or volunteers

    National Event Support

    • May assist with registration and/or education session support for national events

    Required Education and Experience:

    • Preferred 2 or 4-year degree or an equivalent combination of life and/or work experience.
    • 1 years’ experience with a webinar platform
    • 6 months experience supporting and coordinating learning programs
    • Experience working with volunteers and/or subject matter experts (SMEs) preferred
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 including Teams; experience with Learning Management Systems preferred.

    • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and balance competing demands and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
    • Excellent writing and proofreading skills are required.
    • Proven project management and time management skills.
    • Strong customer service skills.
    • Strong attention to detail.
    • Ability to learn and adapt.
    • Self-motivated

    Working Conditions: Flexibility of a primarily remote work setup using technology, with occasional opportunities for in-office collaboration and engaging environments such as hotels and conventions. This position travels nationally up to 5% and locally (within the Minnesota Twin Cities area) 1-2 times per quarter.
