Additionally, Top Underwriting Executive requires a bachelor's degree. May require certification as a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) or Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU). Typically reports to top management. The Top Underwriting Executive manages a business unit, division, or corporate function with major organizational impact. Summary:
Responsible for managing and supporting the underwriting function in alignment with compliance with market investors, government agencies and department policies, practices and standards. Support and manage credit escalations and interpretations. Work with VP of Operations to identify and refine best practices, ensure quality and efficiency and respond to questions. Manage, train, coach and retain employees.
