What to Expect
Tesla is looking for an experienced Total Loss Adjuster with the ability to communicate compassionately and effectively to resolve insurance claims. This person will also be providing outstanding customer service.
What You’ll Do
- Ability to handle multiple claims work systems, total losses required, and handle salvage returns
- Knowledge of legal liability, general insurance policy coverage and State Tort Law
- Strong working knowledge of the various operations with the Claims Department
- Must be skilled at recognizing questionable coverage/contract situations which necessitate supervisory involvement
- Responding to various written and telephone inquiries including status reports
- Negotiating settlements with insured, claimaints, and/or attorneys
- Updating files and provides comprehensive reports as required
- Determine what investigation is necessary on more complicated claims to bring a claim to an equitable conclusion for all parties involved
- Responsible for controlling the work done by the independent adjuster/appraiser
- Daily contact with adjusters and/or insureds and/or claimaints and/or attorneys and/or vendors and/or agents
What You’ll Bring
- A four-year degree from an accredited institution or equivalent experience
- A minimum of 2 years experience handling claims, including advanced skills in coverage, investigations, litigation, negotiation, damage/injury evaluation, salavage, and subrogation
- Knowledge of and adherence to the state laws and regulations governing the handling of general liability claims
- Basic understanding of claims, mathematics, auto physical damage, and legal issues
- Onsite presence is required everyday
- Ability to obtain and maintain an active adjuster license
- Adjuster license must be obtained within 90 days of the start date if do not possess one already
