Leads teams to provide training, tools, and logistical assistance for quality initiatives. Being a Total Quality Manager oversees development of new testing tools, and measurement methods and systems to ensure products and services meet quality standards. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Total Quality Manager typically reports to a senior manager. The Total Quality Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Total Quality Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. This hospital system is seeking an RN with a solid background in acute care hospital quality management, performance improvement, and accreditation.
Reporting directly to the Chief Nursing Officer CNO, the RN Director Hospital Quality will become responsible for oversight and management of all quality and performance improvement activities for the entire acute care facility. The Quality Improvement Nurse Director will prepare for The Joint Commission accreditation surveys, develop and implement hospital performance improvement measures, educate incoming staff on quality measures, and utilize hospital resources to achieve and maintain optimal standards of patient care. The Quality Management Nurse Director will work closely with the executive leadership team to ensure that quality assurance goals are met and exceeded.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree BSN, Active Oklahoma State RN License, Master’s Degree highly preferred, 5 years of progressive acute care quality management experience, along with previous knowledge of CMS guidelines and TJC standards. CPHQ Certification would be an excellent asset but is not required.
