Seeking a highly experienced, first-rate woodshop manager to oversee and run an extremely well-equipped, meticulously organized, high-end woodworking shop. Ideal candidates have experience running a woodshop business (cabinetry, doors, etc.), managing a work unit, and have a track record of handling a little of everything in a fast-paced work environment. This work unit designs and builds custom cabinetry, custom doors, and other extremely unique and high-end pieces.
The woodshop manager will run and/or be involved in: preparing quotes and handling pricing; doing design work and using software to complete shop drawings; managing projects and installations; scheduling jobs and installations; managing employee performance and training employees; seeking new revenue streams and customers; and working closely with customers. Ideal candidate will possess extensive experience with design software, a wide range of commercial - level wood shop equipment (including CNC machine), successful employee and project management, excellent communication skills, etc.
Ideal candidate has a minimum of 5 years experience managing a woodshop/cabinet shop including design, pricing, project management and install experience. Must be experienced at setting up and running complicated machinery (CNC machine, shapers, table saws, routers, sanders, etc.) as well as being able to understand construction plans and assembly sheets.
