    Essential Duties:
    • Manage and develop a 24x7 operations team, including aviation, ground transportation, travel, and transplant clinical coordination.
    • Hire, mentor, and develop logistics coordinators, air dispatchers, and other team members.
    • Optimize the logistics network for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
    • Establish SOPs for consistent decision-making across all logistics areas.
    • Act as an escalation point for issues within the logistics network or with customers.
    • Approve logistics quotes and drive continuous improvement in processes and systems.
    • Manage a rotating schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays, at the Andover, MA Logistics Command Center.
    • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and team projects.
     
    Background and Qualifications:
    • Bachelor’s degree in logistics, operations management, business, science, or a related field.\
    • 5 years of experience in a command center/control tower or managing logistics/transportation operations in a fast-paced environment.
    • 3 years of people management experience, with a focus on team development.
    • Tech-savvy with proficiency in various apps and systems related to logistics.
    • Availability to work a rotating schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
    • Exceptional multitasking, prioritizing, and decision-making skills in a high-urgency environment.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage both micro and macro aspects of logistics operations.
