Job Title: Finance Manager

Reports To: Finance Committee and Partners

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepares, prints, and mails invoices to clients
• Ensures proper credit terms are on each invoice
• Posts client payments into the accounts receivables system and verifies that the correct client account is credited with the correct amount
• Operates an electronic billing system and works with database software
• Works with attorneys to manage the work in progress (WIP) process
• Keeps accurate client records
• Discusses invoices and amounts with clients
• Facilitate insurance appeals
• Run regular accounts receivable aging reports and provide to Partners
• Assists with collection of accounts receivables
• Deposits of client checks in savings and trust accounts
• Processes AP checks
• Transfer funds between various bank accounts, as needed
• Prepare payroll registers and journal entries from reports
• Categorize and add bank feeds for all bank accounts in QuickBooks and reconcile Check Register spreadsheet each day to match
• Add and update vendors throughout year and compile 1099 list
• Tracking and reconciliation of monthly recurring bills and timely payment of recurring bills
• Answer client related questions and partner questions regarding financials, recurring bills, etc.
• Send partners regular updated bank balances
• Reconcile Trust accounts weekly
• Perform reconciliation of Check Register for all bank accounts
• Perform reconciliation and payment/posting of credit card statement monthly
• Performs other duties as needed

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Must possess a High School Diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in a billing or accounts receivables role
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office products
• Possesses excellent computer skills and can type accurately
• Demonstrates great attention to detail
• Possesses strong verbal and written communication skills
• Maintain confidentiality of client and firm matters

Work Environment:

• Works regular hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday with some flexibility and competitive paid time off
• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
