Total Quality Manager manages the implementation, administration and measurement of total quality management programs, including Six Sigma initiatives. Leads teams to provide training, tools, and logistical assistance for quality initiatives. Being a Total Quality Manager oversees development of new testing tools, and measurement methods and systems to ensure products and services meet quality standards. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Total Quality Manager typically reports to a senior manager. The Total Quality Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Total Quality Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. Work with the microbiologist to perform finished product testing and ship materials to a third-party laboratory.
Responsibilities- Perform Pre-operational inspections of each assigned area.
- Issue controlled materials to personnel and verify the return of these materials.
- Verify all process raw materials are accurately used for each lot.
- Perform organoleptic tests for manufactured products.
- Correctly perform process control and critical control point checks.
- Accurately perform in-process checks for finished products and in a timely manner.
- Release pallets of finished product and verify weights for barrels.
- Monitor product changeover and cleaning.
- Perform atp/allergen swabs accurately for verification of each wet clean.
- Collect Environmental swabs to monitor for organisms.
- Perform final room checks at the end of the day.
- Inspect clean barrels in sanitation.
- Take samples of incoming raw material for quarantine.
- Receive and control the use of labels.
- Verify incoming raw material and outgoing shipments for correctness.
