Additionally, Trade Relations Manager requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Trade Relations Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Trade Relations Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Position Overview:

    The Client Relations Manager oversees a team supporting a diverse North American clientele in multiple business verticals. This position involves daily supervision of a team of account managers, collaboration with internal stakeholders, and meeting & exceeding client expectations. Responsibilities encompass project management, business development, and successful delivery of transportation, logistics, and supply chain solutions. The ideal candidate possesses a positive demeanor, extensive transportation & logistics expertise, project management experience, strong communication skills, and excels at solving complex challenges.

    Responsibilities:

    Team Leadership:

    • Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performance team of Account Managers.
    • Cultivate a collaborative team culture.

    Client Relationship Management:

    • Build and nurture strong client relationships in transportation and logistics.
    • Develop and implement strategic account plans with Account Managers.

    Transportation & Logistics Solution Expertise:

    • Develop a deep understanding of transportation and logistics services.
    • Effectively communicate the value proposition to clients.

    Business Development:

    • Identify and pursue new opportunities, driving growth through strategic partnerships.
    • Serve as an expert in solutions, guiding the client lifecycle.

    Project Management:

    • Oversee the successful initiation, execution, and closure of projects.
    • Apply strong process and project management skills for complex initiatives.

    Client Success Strategy:

    • Develop and execute strategies for client retention, satisfaction, and expansion.
    • Proactively identify opportunities to enhance logistics services.

    Performance Monitoring:

    • Evaluate team and individual performance.
    • Inform business development and project management strategies.

    Communication and Collaboration:

    • Facilitate effective communication between clients, Account Managers, and internal teams.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for seamless transportation & logistics service delivery.

    Issue Resolution:

    • Act as an escalation point for client issues, ensuring swift resolution.
    • Implement preventive measures to minimize challenges.

    Client Feedback and Insights:

    • Gather client feedback to drive continuous improvement in services.
    • Use insights to enhance client engagement, business development, and project execution.

    Training and Development:

    • Provide ongoing training on transportation & logistics, business development, and project management.

    JOB REQUIREMENTS

    Qualifications:

    Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics Management, Supply Chain Management, Transportation Management, Business or related field.
    • Master’s degree or Project Management Professional certification is a plus.

    Experience:

    • 5-7 years in client success, account management, and project management in a leadership environment.
    • Proven experience in transportation & logistics, business development, and project management.

    Technical Skills:

    • High-level understanding of Project Management principles.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Experience utilizing business intelligence tools
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, project management tools, and CRMs.

    Communication and Interpersonal Skills:

    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including listening, writing, presenting, and facilitating.
    • Experience presenting to stakeholders and senior management.

    Leadership and Team Management:

    • Demonstrated leadership skills with transportation & logistics expertise.
    • Ability to lead, mentor, and motivate a team.
