As the Global Trade Compliance Manager, this role is a key contributor for the development and implementation of the vision, long-range plan, strategies and annual plan objectives for Global Trade Compliance (GTC). The role will facilitate integration and harmonization of GTC best practices amongst all Toro Company brands and engage with and update key stakeholders through the integration process. This person will prioritize efforts to assure compliance with the laws and regulations and mitigates risk; support GTC initiatives as we optimize our network. Accomplishing goals by managing through others that do not report to this position.
The role's responsibilities include maintaining up-to-date thorough knowledge of international trade laws and regulations applicable to activities of the various business units that govern international trade activities according to agencies such as Export Administration Regulations (EAR), Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS), US Customs Regulations and Canada Customs Regulations. Develops and implements policies and procedures that support and respond to governing international trade policies to ensure full compliance with US and international regulations regarding import and export of material, information, and technology.
