TERM OF EMPLOYMENT: 10 Month Position, Full Time

STARTING DATE: As Soon As Possible
Do you have experience working as an electrician? Are you looking to give back to your industry and community by working with students who represent the future workforce? Look no further! We are looking for a motivated and energetic person to serve as the Associate Teacher (AT) for our Trade Electricity Program. Check out the duties and qualifications below!
DUTIES:
1. Assist teacher in providing instruction for high school students in the Trade Electricity program.
2. Work cooperatively with the Trade Electricity teacher to support student needs.
3. Assist teacher in maintaining a safe and orderly environment, especially in the lab (workshop) area.
4. Assist teacher in maintaining student records such as attendance.
5. Attend faculty meetings and other department functions.

QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Certification must be obtained through the New York State Office of Teaching Initiatives within the guidelines for CTE Certification, in collaboration with Human Resources.
2. Three or more years of experience in the Trade Electricity (residential and/or commercial) fields.
3. One or more years of teaching experience preferred.
4. Willing to work with high school students.
5. Physically able to perform essential functions of the position (with or without reasonable accommodation).
