Trade Show Manager manages the execution and logistics of trade shows and exhibitions to achieve business objectives. Develops and manages a comprehensive event project plan for all setup tasks, promotional items, literature, bookings, and other details. Being a Trade Show Manager approves the design, layout, cost estimates, and construction of exhibits and displays. Negotiates with vendors and service providers for best arrangements within budget. Additionally, Trade Show Manager may require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Trade Show Manager supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. Reports to - MS Activities Director
Essential Performance Responsibilities
Instructs students regarding techniques, rules and practices of the activity
Develops and organizes practice program
Schedules and conducts practices according to agreed-upon schedules
Supervises students from the scheduled beginning of the practice or competition until the last student leaves, knowing where all participants are at all times
Supervises students on buses on trips to other schools
Promotes the entire Norwalk Activities program
Sets an example of the highest ethical and moral conduct including respecting and supporting contest officials
Fosters among the participants and spectators an appreciation of the values of activities, an attitude of good sportsmanship, and a sense of pride in self, team, school, and community
Promotes a healthy lifestyle to students
Assists the activities director to ensure that lists of all students eligible for contests are prepared and maintained under the rules of Norwalk CSD
Communicates with parents in regards to team rules and activity department guidelines
Knows and understands the Norwalk Activity Department rules and regulations
Adheres to all safety laws and district policies
Performs other duties as assigned by the MS Activities Director

Qualifications Profile
Previous show choir experience, either as a sponsor or participant, preferred.
Physical Requirements
Physical requirements vary by individual job assignment but requires a minimum of the following physical requirements: Walking, standing, bending, carrying, climbing, lifting minimum of 20 pounds, driving, pushing, pulling, reaching, sitting, and stooping.
