Trade Show Manager manages the execution and logistics of trade shows and exhibitions to achieve business objectives. Develops and manages a comprehensive event project plan for all setup tasks, promotional items, literature, bookings, and other details. Being a Trade Show Manager approves the design, layout, cost estimates, and construction of exhibits and displays. Negotiates with vendors and service providers for best arrangements within budget. Additionally, Trade Show Manager may require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Trade Show Manager supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Trade Show Manager typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Thorough knowledge of functional area and department processes.     Specific Responsibilities Would Include

    • Management of C-TPAT Program and facilitation of annual corporate training for all North American employees (est. 1,200 employees)
    • Import document management and liaising with Customs Brokers
    • Binding Rulings creation and submission to CBP.
    • Post Entry Review auditing.
    • CF28’s (Post Entry Requests from Customs and Border Protection)
    • Creating SOP’s, developing effective processes/procedures, and updating compliance manual as needed.
    • Validating HTS classifications in SAP; provides customs broker with monthly updates for each business.
    • Annual license renewals for Other Government Agencies (OGA’s).
    • Validate first sale imports for accuracy.
    • Ad hoc projects/research related to Customs matters.
    • Importer of Record Account Management.
    • Assist team with duty drawback programs.
    • KPI development and reporting.

    Our Best Fit Candidate Would Have

    • Bachelor’s degree preferred with a minimum 8 years direct experience in customs compliance.
    • Licensed Customs Broker or Certified Customs Specialist – required.
    • In-depth knowledge of US import regulations, HTS classification, trade programs, C-TPAT requirements, etc.
    • Previous experience in the apparel industry required.
    • Familiarity with trade programs strongly preferred.
    • A self-motivator; work independently and across functional groups.
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
    • Ability to manage direct reports.
    • Effective communication and presentation skills required.
    • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
    • Previous experience with SAP, PLM and Infor-Nexus strongly preferred.
    • Available to travel US/CA sites (less than 10%).
