Salary
Salary Range: $50,000 - $72,000/Annualized, commensurate with education, experience and qualifications.

Hours per Week
Exempt Position: 40 hours per week.

Essential Functions
Function: Provide specialized skill and project management for the Southwest Trade Adjustment Assistance Center, Institute for Economic Development.
Duties:
1. Perform day-to-day delivery of management services to manufacturers according to TAA guidelines.
2. Draft and execute Cost Share Agreements.
3. Preparation of a Diagnostic Analysis/Adjustment Plan or recovery strategy.
4. Identify and select outside consultants to perform technical assistance on behalf of clients.
5. Draft and execute contracts between the client, consultant, and the University to implement the approved plan.
6. Define the scope(s) of work, milestones, and negotiate the costs of the technical assistance.
7. Monitor implementation of the plan, review invoices, and approve disbursement of funds to the consultant.
8. Draft correspondence, maintain client case files, accurate time sheets, and prepare monthly caseload reports for tracking clients.
9. Conduct outreach and other marketing assistance as needed.
10. Coordinate marketing and technical assistance with other organization representatives as needed.
11. Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Business Administration, Engineering, Industrial Sciences, or related field.
- Three years' experience in business in a professional position and one to three years' experience in management of a major function of a manufacturing organization, business turn-around management, a consultant to a manufacturing organization, or a job that had similar experiences.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must demonstrate strong organizational, leadership and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to deal with a wide variety of individuals and organizations, confidentiality essential.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work and take initiative without close supervision.
- Excellent listening skills.
- Ability to grasp the big picture and deal with detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree from an accredited institution in Business Administration, Engineering, Industrial Science, or related field.
- Five years' experience in business in a professional position and three to five years' experience in management of a major function of a manufacturing organization, business turn-around management, consultant to a manufacturing organization or a job with similar experiences.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Associated in Project Management (CAPM) certification.
- Knowledge of various project management software.
