Corporate Accountant

Description
Responsible for preparing payroll accounting journal entries, assisting with month end close tasks, conducting periodic account reconciliations, identifying process improvements, and maintaining the general ledger.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepares payroll journal entries on a weekly and monthly basis.
- Participates in month end close cycle and general ledger reconciliations.
- Assists with administration of employee expense reporting system.
- Completes management reports for analysis, as needed.
- Assists with the completion of interim and annual external and internal audits.
- Leads process improvement initiatives.
- Performs other related duties as required or assigned.

- Plans the time, method, manner, and/or performance sequence of own work; may also occasionally assist in planning work assignments performed by others within a limited area of operation.
- Frequently makes decisions of both minor and major importance, which may affect the work operations of other employees and/or clientele to a moderate degree.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (required).
- One to three years of relevant experience in accounting, finance, or a related field (preferred).
Computer Skills

Advanced: Accounting, alphanumeric data entry, Excel spreadsheet, word processing/typing, ERP systems (JDE Enterprise 1)

Basic: Microsoft Office, SAP Concur, ADP
Certificates and Licenses
- CPA or currently studying for the CPA (preferred).
