Trader (Government Securities) is responsible for the timely buying and selling of government securities, such as treasury bills, treasury notes, or bonds. Reviews orders to ensure accuracy, proper record keeping, and conformance to regulations. Being a Trader (Government Securities) evaluates market volatility and ensures clients receive the best rate available. Requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty or in a related area and may require state licensure. Additionally, Trader (Government Securities) typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Trader (Government Securities) work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. The Cass County Sheriff’s Office has openings for Sheriff’s Reserve Unit (SRU) Deputies. These positions are voluntary positions that supplement Sheriff’s Office personnel in various capacities at special events, community dances, the RRV Fair, concerts, and other duties, as needed.
For those selected, they must attend and successfully complete a 72-hour North Dakota (Reserve) Peace Officer Training Academy and pass a final exam. The training program is of no cost and will be facilitated by the Cass County Sheriff’s Office.
Once active, SRU Deputies are expected to fulfill a required 8-hour commitment per month.
