We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Community Relations Director to serve as Park City Chamber & Visitors Bureau’s community and governmental liaison in and around the Summit County area to keep the organization informed on critical community issues and to create positive impact, community awareness, relationship-building and deeper connections in the community and amongst partners.
- Act as a liaison to Park City Municipal and Summit County staff and leaders (and other entities deemed appropriate), stay informed and report on issues that pertain to PCCVB objectives, the business community, our partners and the Sustainable Tourism Plan.
- Develop, execute and distribute the Legislative Policy Agenda. Actively participate in the annual state legislative session and actively attend appropriate committees, meetings and events that help advance principle-based policies that align with PCCVB’s objectives and strategic goals. Interact with local, state, and federal bodies and governmental agencies to advocate for PCCVB priorities, expand and build strategic relationships. Plan, manage and execute legislative events. Develop and manage the Park City Business Political Action Committee.
- Develop and execute the Community Relations Plan to increase awareness of PCCVB’s mission, vision, values and programs. Represent the PCCVB at community and stakeholder meetings and events (PCARA, HPCA, other), gatherings, clubs, etc., to elevate engagement, awareness, information sharing and relationship building.
- Assist local event producers as needed to ensure positive experiences for participants, spectators, and community at large. Be familiar with area facilities that can host or add value to special events. Manage the event calendar, event kiosk sign (weekly) and event sponsorships including budget and deliverables.
- Track and assist where appropriate film inquiries and manage content related to ParkCityFilm.com.
- Actively engage in the Partner Services team and services team on events and programming where appropriate and as needed.
- Manage the community affairs, destination drivers and event sponsorship budget for the PCCVB and execute appropriate sponsorships and programs.
- Produce weekly, monthly, quarterly, and/or yearly reports to communicate status of key community issues, performance metrics and programs. And other duties as assigned.
Canidates should have 3-4 years of experience working with community stakeholders, governmental entities and events.

- Demonstrate experience and skill in overall management, promotion and operation of events, sponsorship relationships and recruitment, budgeting, and contract negotiation.
- Due to the unique governmental complexities, candidate must possess the ability to coordinate and implement projects with various governing bodies. Ability to engage in sophisticated/strategic thinking and effective relationship-building and collaboration skills.
- Marketing and public relations skills coupled with integrity will be the keys to success.
