    Farnsworth Group is seeking a Municipal Civil Engineer with a Transportation focus in either our Bloomington or Peoria, IL offices, with flexibility to be based out of our Pontiac, Champaign or Effingham, IL offices. In this role, you will be focused on the planning, design, and management of various civil engineering projects including water/wastewater/stormwater and transportation projects for local and government agencies. Interaction with IDOT and understanding of project submittals will be required.     Job Activities:
    • Manage, support and build relationships with clients and agencies
    • Conduct field inspections, measurements or calculations
    • Perform condition assessments
    • Develop critical project objectives and performance goals, interacting with clients on technical matters as needed
    • Prepare and develop construction, design documents and plans
    • Manage projects and programs from inception to completion
    Specific Requirements Desired:
    • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, a concentration in Transportation preferred
    • 2 - 5 years of Civil Engineering experience
    • FE/EIT Certification
    • Experience with IDOT, MFT and local agency projects
    • Experience or understanding of working with state and local authorities
    • AutoCAD, Civil3D, GeoPak, SS4, MicroStation or OpenRoads experience
    • Ability to work both in the office and field for construction engineering and observation
    • Management, communication, and organization skills
