  • The City of Hinesville is accepting applications for a Deputy Municipal Court Clerk. This position is responsible for performing clerical and bookkeeping duties in support of court operations, to include providing customer service, collecting payments, coordinating the flow of court proceedings, scheduling court activities, maintaining court calendars, providing assistance in court, processing documentation and maintaining court records.

    Major duties include entering traffic citation data, collecting bond and fine payments, recording court dispositions, completing fine sheets reflecting court determinations, preparing DUI notices and providing information regarding court system policies, procedures and fines to the public.

    Knowledge of bookkeeping practices and operating modern office equipment is required. Candidate must have significant experience with data entry, be able to multi-task while paying special attention to detail, work under time constraints, and have the ability to carry out instructions furnished in both oral and written form. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma, and one to two years related clerical and data entry experience.

    This position requires the ability to lift up to 30 pounds and to function in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment, with a heavy workload. The starting salary for the position is $33,776.94 plus excellent benefits. The position closes on May 6, 2024 at 5:00 p.m.
