The following are some of duties and expectations for this position:
· Provides an exceptional customer experience that inspires repeat business
· Meets sales goals as identified by leadership, weekly
· Checks emails to understand price changes, computer updates, and company information, daily
· Ensure the store is ready for business, ensure the sales floor is clean and orderly, daily
· Greets customers immediately upon entering the store
· Asks questions of the customer to identify needs and directs their attention to products to meet their needs
· Reviews features and benefits of products
· Provides detailed information regarding flooring to educate customers
· Describes materials needed for installation
· Provides product samples and gathers customer information, as needed
· Creates a quote based on product selected and reviews with customer
· Creates sales tickets; specifications regarding product and amount needed, special instructions, collects payment or discusses financing, and processes orders in system
· Ensures PCI compliance for all credit card transaction documents
· Reserves product and prints picking ticket for warehouse to ensure materials are ready at time of customer pickup
· Ensures consistency, and accuracy of order, i.e., product, amount, timing
· Communicates with manager regarding special requests for flooring and enters in system, as needed
· Maintains confidentiality of customer information
· Writes thank you notes to follow-up with customers, 10 daily
· Brings customer service issues to the attention of the Store Manager
· Conducts marketing activities, writes, and sends approximately ten thank you cards, flyers, and marketing information to potential customers, daily
· Answers telephone calls within one ring
· Forms strong working relationships within team and treats each other with respect
· Leads by example and models expected behaviors.
· Meets with supervisor to review projects and outcomes, weekly.
Qualifications
The skills and abilities we're seeking include:
Two years of flooring sales and / or design preferred, but not required.
