Traffic Clerk provides administrative and clerical support to the traffic operations function of an organization. Responsible for all aspects of routing, shipping, logging, and tracking of inbound and outbound orders. Being a Traffic Clerk contacts transporters for freight pick-up and ensures that cargo is routed appropriately. Communicates changes to routing and timelines. Additionally, Traffic Clerk prepares and processes bills of lading (BOL) and other shipping documentation. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Traffic Clerk works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Job description
*Wiling to learn and complete our automated flagger device training program.
* Excellent attendance required as well as great customer service.
*Adhere to all company policies and procedures and putting safety first.
*Lift and carry up to 50 Ibs
*Setup signs, cones and equipment at different work areas to divert traffic.
*Direct traffic using signs, hand and flag signals as well as equipment.
*Must be able to listen to Managers, TCS's as well as Contractor directions.
*Employee benefit oppurtunities after 90 days with no infractions.
