Traffic Clerk provides administrative and clerical support to the traffic operations function of an organization. Responsible for all aspects of routing, shipping, logging, and tracking of inbound and outbound orders. Being a Traffic Clerk contacts transporters for freight pick-up and ensures that cargo is routed appropriately. Communicates changes to routing and timelines. Additionally, Traffic Clerk prepares and processes bills of lading (BOL) and other shipping documentation. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Traffic Clerk works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Assist air traffic control instructors in instructing and evaluating student performance. Teach Avit 103 – Introduction to Air Traffic Control, and Conduce air traffic control instruction in Adacel and UFA air traffic control simulators. Perform other duties as assigned by the Assistant Chair of the Air Traffic Control Program.
