Traffic Clerk provides administrative and clerical support to the traffic operations function of an organization. Responsible for all aspects of routing, shipping, logging, and tracking of inbound and outbound orders. Being a Traffic Clerk contacts transporters for freight pick-up and ensures that cargo is routed appropriately. Communicates changes to routing and timelines. Additionally, Traffic Clerk prepares and processes bills of lading (BOL) and other shipping documentation. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Traffic Clerk works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Traffic Control Worker - Driver

  • Summary:
    Our work is designed around Construction companies awarding contracts to install and maintain traffic control and flagging services for road projects. This position will work in the field setting up lane closures, performing flagging and other traffic control operations to maintain safe roadways that may be under construction or for other closing requirements.
    Duties & Responsibilities:
    • Install and remove lane closures, detours, and traffic switches that are regulated by industry standards.
    • Read maps and navigate to job sites with specific instructions.
    • Setup and program message boards.
    • Install post mounted signs / load and unload trucks with equipment going to and from job sites.
    • Fill out daily trip sheets and tickets for assigned work / maintain accurate records.
    • Service job sites to ensure proper and safety setup.
    • Perform Flagging duties as needed.
    • Drive company vehicles in a Safe manner.
    Supervisor Responsibilities:
    • None
    Essential Qualifications:
    • Valid Class “D” (WI) or “C” (IL) Driver’s License with acceptable driving record.
    • DOT Medical Certificate or ability to acquire before starting.
    • Desire to work flexible hours including days, evenings, overnight and weekends.
    • Experience in the construction industry is helpful but not required.
    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
    • Must have strong problem-solving skills and a desire to create solutions.
    • Prior experience working under tight deadlines with changing priorities.
    • Have patience in a fast paced and ever-changing environment.
    • Ability to uphold regulatory and company standards.
    • Ability to work independently, be self-motivated with a high sense of urgency.

The employee is frequently required to move and/or lift up to 60 pounds (or more with lift assist). Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus.
    • Position will work in all types of weather conditions and travel to off-site job locations and therefore require wearing all PPE depending on circumstance which may include dust mask, safety glasses, hard hat, ear protection, high-visibility safety vest and/or pants and/or steel toed footwear. At times client contract driven PPE may also be required.
