Traffic Clerk provides administrative and clerical support to the traffic operations function of an organization. Responsible for all aspects of routing, shipping, logging, and tracking of inbound and outbound orders. Being a Traffic Clerk contacts transporters for freight pick-up and ensures that cargo is routed appropriately. Communicates changes to routing and timelines. Additionally, Traffic Clerk prepares and processes bills of lading (BOL) and other shipping documentation. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Traffic Clerk works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. This position will be focused on working with Accounts Payable processing and assist with Election operations for the County. The position will also assist with all areas of work in the office and handle customers in person and on the phone. Good customer service skills are essential. Computer and accounting skills are a plus. Candidates need to be productive, fast learners, and be able to multi-task. This position will be part of the collective bargaining unit at the Courthouse.
