Responsible for all aspects of routing, shipping, logging, and tracking of inbound and outbound orders. Being a Traffic Clerk contacts transporters for freight pick-up and ensures that cargo is routed appropriately. Communicates changes to routing and timelines. Additionally, Traffic Clerk prepares and processes bills of lading (BOL) and other shipping documentation. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Traffic Clerk works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. PRODUCE CLERK
Produce Clerks are responsible for assisting the produce manager with tasks including, filling, culling, and rotating produce. Produce Clerks will also be responsible for wrapping, packaging, cutting, and general preparation of produce. Produce Clerks are expected to help Produce Managers maintain a full, fresh, and clean produce department. While Produce Clerks will occasionally work alone to maintain good produce department conditions on the Produce Manager’s off days, vacation, or sick days, the Clerk is also expected to work closely with the Produce Manager on other days to learn all other aspect of running a produce department. This will prepare the Produce Clerk for a future position in management.
