Traffic Clerk jobs in Sioux Falls, SD

Dakota Traffic Services, LLC is a full-service traffic control, pavement marking, and signing company. We operate in much of South Dakota and also NW Iowa with offices in Tea, SD and Sioux City, Iowa. Our Traffic Control division specializes in providing safe work zones of all sizes, from simple street closures to large interstate projects and detours. We are looking for a Traffic Control Tech to join our team. This role rarely is required to spend overnight out of town for work. If this occurs, hotel and per diem will be paid.

Key Responsibility:

• Setting up of work site, including traffic and pedestrian control.
  • Installation of signs and barricades
  • Temporary barrier rail, message boards and other smart zone equipment
  • Pavement marking and pavement marking removals
• Control traffic flow and close roads on construction projects
• Performs all duties according to safety procedures and uses appropriate safety equipment.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• High School Degree or equivalent
• Valid Driver's License Required, CDL preferred (will train to obtain CDL)
• Ability to obtain a Medical Examiner's Certificate
• Ability to lift 50-60 lbs
• Must be able to pass a background/MVR and preemployment drug test.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• No experience required, and on the job training provided.
