Traffic Clerk, Sr. provides administrative and clerical support to the traffic operations function of an organization. Responsible for all aspects of routing, shipping, logging, and tracking of inbound and outbound orders. Being a Traffic Clerk, Sr. contacts transporters for freight pick-up and ensures that cargo is routed appropriately. Communicates changes to routing and timelines. Additionally, Traffic Clerk, Sr. prepares and processes bills of lading (BOL) and other shipping documentation. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Traffic Clerk, Sr. works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. Has gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job. In support of the 81st Training Wing (TRW) and 403rd Wing at Keesler AFB MS, performs typical weather station operations including but not limited to taking/recording weather observations, issuing Terminal Aerodrome Forecasts (TAF), preparing and briefing DD Form 175-1, Mission Execution Forecast (MEF), and monitoring weather conditions and issuing weather watches, warnings, and advisories, as required.
Responsibilities
· Produces and disseminates all required surface weather observations to local customers, inputs them into the shared information database, and records them on applicable forms.
Qualifications
Operational experience using the Gibson/Ridge Doppler Radar program.
Position requires selected applicant be able to obtain/maintain Secret security clearance.
