Traffic Clerk, Sr. provides administrative and clerical support to the traffic operations function of an organization. Responsible for all aspects of routing, shipping, logging, and tracking of inbound and outbound orders. Being a Traffic Clerk, Sr. contacts transporters for freight pick-up and ensures that cargo is routed appropriately. Communicates changes to routing and timelines. Additionally, Traffic Clerk, Sr. prepares and processes bills of lading (BOL) and other shipping documentation. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Traffic Clerk, Sr. works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. Has gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job. Notice is hereby given of a full time position in the Iroquois County Clerk and Recorder’s Office.
Job Summary: Performs a variety of clerical work using standard office practices, procedures, and routines. Duties will include assisting in many areas of the office as needed, including but not limited to: elections, delinquent tax redemption, and vital records.
Qualifications: Computer knowledge and skills in Microsoft applications necessary. Good concentration and organization skills are a must. The successful candidate must work well with public, be self-motivated and able to work independently.
Starting wage: $16.00 per hour/full time 35-hour week and benefit package including paid holidays.
