Traffic Clerk, Sr. provides administrative and clerical support to the traffic operations function of an organization. Responsible for all aspects of routing, shipping, logging, and tracking of inbound and outbound orders. Being a Traffic Clerk, Sr. contacts transporters for freight pick-up and ensures that cargo is routed appropriately. Communicates changes to routing and timelines. Additionally, Traffic Clerk, Sr. prepares and processes bills of lading (BOL) and other shipping documentation. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Traffic Clerk, Sr. works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. Has gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job. Candidate will work directly with Pricing Analyst in preparing bids and contracts for National Account Sales Directors. In addition, when working with bids and current pricing tariffs, Traffic Analyst will be using our costing model to evaluate both current business as well as future business for profitability. Traffic Analyst will be working with Microsoft Excel and Word in their analysis. Traffic Analyst will also work with our publications systems and other available systems in order to research/publish tariff items. As a Traffic Analyst, you will work closely with your Pricing Analyst in auditing and performing miscellaneous duties to assist them in their position.
