Traffic Clerk, Sr. provides administrative and clerical support to the traffic operations function of an organization. Responsible for all aspects of routing, shipping, logging, and tracking of inbound and outbound orders. Being a Traffic Clerk, Sr. contacts transporters for freight pick-up and ensures that cargo is routed appropriately. Communicates changes to routing and timelines. Additionally, Traffic Clerk, Sr. prepares and processes bills of lading (BOL) and other shipping documentation. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Traffic Clerk, Sr. works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. Has gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job. A Sr. Engineering Technician - Traffic position is available with the city of Fort Worth Transportation and Public Work Department's Traffic Signal Team. This role will provide signal operation and traffic signal design services. Individuals in the position will utilize state-of-the-art advanced traffic management system and ITS system; perform data collection and manage databases, configure and program traffic signal devices.
